It's a Poetry Slam @ the Library!
The Coshocton Public Library held its first Poetry Slam @ the Library to celebrate Teen Read Week 2003.The four area high schools were invited to send their 4 best poets to compete for prizes and a trophy.
Three schools participated, sending 12 poets for the competition.
All 12 poets were given poet badges from the ALA store, blank books and pens to keep them writing,
and a copy of the Teen Ink Poetry Journal to submit their work.
Our first place winner won a $50. gift certificate and a trophy for his school!
Our second place winner won a $25. gift certificate!
Our third place winner won a $15. gift certificate!
