The photo challenge was planned as part of the Celebrate Ohio Summer Reading Program. The idea was to make teens more observant of their own town's special features. I took digital photos of unique aspects of buildings and other landmarks. Using a photo software program, I zoomed in on one partof the photo and cropped it. The cropped photo was posted for the week with the question, "What and where is this?"
The following week the original photo is posted as the answer and a new challenge photo is posted.
Some ideas I used were:
the stone relief above the library's front entrance (the director didn't recognize it!)
the marble globe on top of a memorial on the courtsquare
the star on the front of a tank parked at the armory (many teens played on the tank as children)
logos from local shops
